Dickey Pimpkins

Dickey Pimpkins was formed three years ago in a basement in Elgin, Illinois. We have always been, and until l we find that special someone out there, we will continue rocking as a three piece. We always have liked to consider ourselves a hybrid band. Since day one, we have been an original band, yet we have evolved into a Sublime tribute band. If people are going to come out to hear us play sublime tunes, we figured we would throw in six or seven originals. That formula has been quite sucessful for us. We are out ther making money playing Sublime and at the same time promoting our original music. With the addition of new drummer John Mrozek( formerly of Dave Urich's FIVE NICKLE HIGH) and the core Pimpkins : Slap Daddy Adrien Covington and Singer/Guitarist Rich Gorzelany, the Dickey Pimpkins' have people in the band that know how to write songs and PUT ON A SHOW!!! Dickey Pimpkins has performed and headlind at some of Chicagos best venues including Cubby Bear, Cubby Bear North, Durty Nellies, Martyrs, Elbo Room, this list goes on...
