Dida is a rising star of the New York music scene... in the short time she's been living in New York, the talentet vocalist/guitarist has garnered the interest and fascination of some of the industry's veterans, performed in music festivals around the world to great popular approval, and has recorded a CD with some of today's jazz greats - Roy Hargrove and Gregory Hutchinson - on the quality Italian label 'Red'. Her style seamlessly weaves influences from many genres, elegantly moving from jazz


Twenty-three year old guitarist and vocalist Dida Pelled has already established herself as one of the most in demand young musicians in Israel and the US. Aside from leading her own trio, Dida has worked with various jazz combos, performing at legendary venues such as Tel Aviv Jazz Festival, Givataim Theater, Shablul Jazz Club, Haozen Bar, and more.

After graduating from the prestigious Jazz Department of the Thelma Yellin High School in Tel Aviv, Dida was chosen by the Israeli Army to serve as an Outstanding Musician. She spent two years traveling the country playing at high profile events where she functioned as the guitarist and vocalist of the group.

Dida was offered full scholarship from New School University in New York City where she is studying at the present time. Dida is a recipient of the prestigious AICF scholarship.
Dida has furthered her career outside the classroom with shows at some of New York’s popular music venues including Birdland, Smalls Jazz Club, BBKings, Dizzy's at Lincoln Center, The Living Room. Rockwood Music Hall, Fat Cat Jazz club, Pianos and other notable music landmarks. She has played with some of the world's most accomplished musicians including Roy Hargrove, Gregory Hutchinson, Jordi Rossy, Joe Cohn, The Thelma Yellin Big Band, Amos Hoffman, Shay Zelman, Ofer Ganor, The Diva Jazz Orchestra, Gilad Hekselman, Neal Minor, Jason Brown, Efraim Shamir, Shlomi Shaban, and many others.

In her first year in NYC, Dida has recorded 'Plays and Sings'- A jazz standards recording on the Italian Label, Red Records, produced by Fabio Morgera. The album was chosen as one of the best albums for 2011 by All About Jazz. Dida has also recorded with The Diva Jazz Orchestra playing Johnny Mandel's music.

Dida is currently working with her band on original music, and going to record her second album soon. In the meanwhile she continues to perform regularly around NYC and Tel Aviv, and is touring at Jazz festivals in Italy including venues such as the Padova Jazz Festival, Napoli and Milano. Switzerland - Bern Jazz Festival and Israel - Tel Aviv jazz festival.
