""The bands performance was tremendous!""

"The bands performance was tremendous. It's hard for a support act to hold the attention of the audience...But, in the case of [Peter Dixon and] the Outback Hippies, the crowd relished their show, and they proved to be a great choice for the support act." Michael Chugg - Michael Chugg (Personal letter to Peter Dixon)

Bio

With a unique blend of covers and originals Diddley Bo Dixon has been thrilling audiences for years!

Along with their radio and television performances, the band have worked all over Australia, NZ, Ireland, Singapore, the US and Japan and have worked in venues and festivals including the Newcastle and Brisbane Entertainment Centres, the Woodford Folk Festival, Byron Bay Bluesfest, Peats Ridge Festival and scores of pubs and clubs!

They have also worked with bands as diverse as Silverchair, Status Quo (on tour as support), Phil Emmanuel and have been on the same BILL as Gary Clark Jnr, KC & the Sunshine Band and also the John Butler Trio

Most of all the fresh, inspirational, burning, emotion of Diddley Bo Dixon's lead guitar playing is quite riveting to watch and feel live. Add to that Tiffany's tight, powerful and joyful Drumming, fused with the solid bass work of Felix and you have a winning combination!

Also, the band have noticed that the 'Baby Boomers' are back 'out on the town' and are once again going to see bands live as they did in the 60's and 70's. Their kids have flown the 'coup' and their finances are more secure so they are back and ready to PARTY. This means more gigs and a growing fan base for Diddley Dixon. Their social media and mailing list connections are close to reaching the 10,000 mark and album sales of their new EP 'Mr Positive' are doing really really well!

The band really tap into this 'wave' of enthusiastic 'boomers' and provide them with a real 'experience' and 'trip' down memory lane, while adding a freshness and 'crunch' to the whole experience!

Diddley Bo Dixon has carefully built up a loyal following and have a very organised global mailing list of thousands. This also means - and is a REAL SELLING POINT - that if the DBD band are playing at your venue, gig, show or festival, then you will definitely get extra fans along to the event!
