Before he could tie his own shoes, Diego Balbuena was jamming along on an old Casio keyboard to classics from The Beatles and Billy Joel. His naturally embedded desire for music was realized at a young age and led him to express himself on the guitar, the piano and through songwriting. Music from artists like Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen and Dire Straits among many others was essentially the Soundtrack that filled his home during his early years and is apparent in his style of music. The angst and experimentation that was the basis of music in the 1990's also took Diego Balbuena to another level of musicianship and expression. Which is now constantly evolving into a captivating and desirable mixture of Rock, Indie, Pop and improvisation during live performance of his music. Diego Balbuena is based in the NYC Metro area and has performed in venues such as The Elbow Room, Continental, The Lion's Den and many others throughout the years as a solo Acoustic act and with a full band.
