"Advance Copy Review"

die Kinder- [New York City] with a name like die Kinder ("the Children") we may be thinking something like the hard-electronic machinery metal of Rammstein or KMFDM. This electro-rock duo (featuring an ex-member of the Pilfers) is more like the Sounds or Republica. "Their beautiful blondeness will blind you" their blurb says. Over the top pretentiousness. However..."Tonight is All There is" has the horsepower for an imported car commercial. - http://advancecopy.blogspot.com/2008/02/die-kinder-new-york-city-with-name-like.html

Bio

Spawned from a chance meeting in the summer of 2006, die Kinder is an NYC based duo consisting of vocalist Georgia Haege and multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Bacon. Discovering each other at an automat in the wee hours of the morning after a hard night of drink and debauchery, the two realized their shared passion for cheap eats and electro rock. After an epiphany that they might be long-lost siblings who needed to share their musical leanings with one another, they soon began a songwriting collaboration.

Australian-born Georgia brings the powerhouse vocals, and native New Yorker Nick takes care of the instrumental sides of things, including guitars, keyboards and programming. Both have extensive stage and recording experience: Nick was a long time member of Pilfers (Mojo/Universal) and Lost City Angels (Nitro and Staygold/Universal) and toured the USA, Europe and South America. Georgia fronted The Strines (I.N.S Records), touring the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia.

Wisely deciding to focus on the musical DNA they shared, Georgia and Nick conceived die Kinder (German for "the children").

Drawing from influences such as Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Blondie and Berlin, to more recent artists such as The Rapture and The Faint, the duo's debut recording titled 'needs (ep)' was released in May of 2008.
