"City Weekly april week #3 2002"

On a recent outting with friends we wnt to enjoy a movie and after word's a few of the boy's said"the night's still young"agreeing with them i suggested we go to Burt's Tiki loung (a small hole in the wall in downtown s.l.c.)Upon entry I was disturbed to see 4 guy's distressed in what appered to be monster drag ripping through some 3 chourd punk song at first I wanted to turn back and leave these monsters in my dust but a few of them wanted in so we stayed at first it was a steady flow of annoying sing along's and hammering guitar I order what would be the first of many beers.I must say these guy's began to get to me.and be for nights end I found myself bouncing along and tapping my foot to the rythmic clammer who were these guy's you asked later I was to find out it was none other than Die Monster die apperantly the local monsters about town.I must say the got me and by the end of there show I was not only intrigued how they could play in those masks but how they could play so well.consider me a fan for life...good job guy's - Edward dawlton

Bio

diemonsterdie is Loud, Fast, Shock-n-Roll for a new de-generation. Their sound is full of catchy hooks, big choruses with creepy lyrics and driving rythyms. Their live show is an assault to the senses, combining sheer spectacle with high-energy graveyard rock. Each performance is a celebration of the dead and those alive to bear witness. In March of 2002 diemonsterdie released a (demo) C.D. entitled"What is Shall Always Be". It received excellent reviews and currently has sold into a third pressing. The album was recorded for $100.00 in their rehearsal space ,with 8 tracks it was all done live. diemonsterdie have toured the U.S. playing small venues twice in support of the album and have just finished recording for their new album entitled "Inside I Quietly Bleed" This new album will be ready for release in July 03 and will be even more powerful, haunting and catchy with 15 new tracks.(one track is being considered for use in a Fringe Media movie "Pot Zombie" to be released in 2004) diemonsterdie brings to the stage a feeling and atmosphere that has long been absent in rock and roll. diemonsterdie are not only musician but fans as well and their inspiration stems from the music of performers like Misfits, Alice Cooper and KISS. Someday perhaps they will be legendary like their forefathers..if not.....they will die trying..
