This record label consists of 4 rappers. The first one is Kostik, then there's Tank, Mute and Kalibur. The features is what caught my immediate attention. Tech n9ne's on here, Crooked I, Kutt Calhoun, Ecay Uno, Siccmade. There's like 20 tracks, a few of them are skits. It's called a compilation, but it's almost like a label collaboration project. Each artist is on a few tracks and it works like a solid piece.
These guys have really got some heat. There's a track on here with Kalibur and Kostik alongside Tech n9ne, and they really kept up with Tech. They're coming out of San Diego, but they sound like something from Gary, Indiana or maybe even Memphis. Real fast rapping! The beats sound like something out of Kansas city. Kalibur did a lot of the beats along with some other producers.
The sound has that real street edge. There's no radio shit on here - none. Anybody that puts out a CD like that nowadays, I gotta respect them. It shows me that they're not worried about pleasing the radio. They're thinking about their underground fanbase, and fuck the mainstream. I'm tired of politics and marketing ploys. I want to hear some good music. And that's what DieNasty delivers. Good stuff.
