Bio

Diesel May is a hard working, hard rocking, independent band from Red Deer, Alberta. The band formed out of the remnants of two previous Alberta bands; Red Deers Trail of Dust and Medicine Hats Seven Minute Mile.

While the band draws on a wide range of influences in their writing, Diesel Mays music is a sound all their own. Hints of classic, southern, and blues rock mix with a more modern, groove oriented hard rock edge to create a gritty, swagger drenched style of rock and roll that can only be described as Diesel May.

The band also has a diversity that allows them to go from their high energy hard rock shows to more stripped down acoustic shows, while still managing to maintain their signature sound.

Diesel May released their debut album in March 2009 and has had the opportunity to open for such acts as One Bad Son, Nashville Pussy, Quiet Riot, Slaughter, City of Fire, The Mudmen, and Dr. Hook. The 2012 Boonstock Festival also saw Diesel May hit the stage, playing between the bands Hell Yeah and Volbeat.

With the summer 2012 release of their new EP, "Moonshine in Hell", Diesel May continues to be a hard rocking presence in the Central Alberta music scene and strives to put on the most memorable, entertaining, and high energy shows in the area. Diesel May is what real rock and roll is about.
