The best kept secret in music

"What's On Tap Magazine"

"Diesl is a loud and proud live act that has to
be seen to be believed. Concert-goers expecting
a sugarcoated set of music will go home disappointed.
My advice would be to take some friends, have
some drinks, and enjoy the show next time
they are around."
- Mark Kooiman

"Gods of Music"

"Diesl is ready for modern rock radio - they
might even break the top ten. Their mix of
talent and songwriting skills is a winning
combination - definitely a band to watch
out for."
- Josh Richmond

"Aquarium/No Alternative Records"

"Heavy, vocal-driven rock thrives throughout
'Diesl’s guitar-laden textures of well-written
songs. It brings me back to what I loved about
cutting-edge grunge, yet definitely deserves
praise for leading the pack in the alternative
metal scene."
- Wes Schuck

Feeling a bit camera shy

Diesl is on a mission to bring grass- roots hard rock to the masses without glitter or gimmicks, presenting music with introspective lyrics and a no-nonsense style, honestly and with passion. Diesl came into life late in 1999, born of Mark Hedlund (vocals), David Hedlund (drums) Dan Norland (bass) and Jason Froehlke(guitar). In late 2004/early 2005, the band fused together with a longtime friend, guitarist Miguel Luna . The band has spread their music all over the Midwest, (their origin) and created an impressive following that continues to increase at every performance. Blending David Hedlund's unique and intricate drumlines with Mark Hedlund's soaring vocals over powerful guitar and bass, Diesl has formed their style and has stayed true to it, regardless of the latest fleeting trends. Diesl has had the privilege of playing shows with the most successful bands in the Midwest, gaining respect from strong live performances and solid songwriting. Now in 2006, the band is preparing for production of their upcoming album, entitled FAILSAFE . Diesl's goal is to create music for life, working with and performing for groups, companies, and fans that share the same passion for Diesl that each of it's members posess.
