Bio

I began showcasing an aggressively passionate song list and performing style when I hit the "scene" back in '95 with a few local bars in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago's north-side. As word spread and folks started to gather, I continued to build on my following through consistent performances and great energy. Original pieces were met with enthusiasm, and people began seeking me out to catch the act.

As the acoustic show moved forward, I met a fantastic guitar player named Tim Rommen. After a few moderate jam sessions, in 1998 the two of us formed a band named FASOLA, and were represented for a period by an independent label named Tie Records International. I was the group's singer/songwriter and bass player. After acquiring a drummer, the band played some hip venues primarily in Chicago and its neighboring suburbs while I continued to perform acoustic shows and host open mics throughout the city. The band's first and only album, KINGS & FLIES, saw airtime as well as a guest spot for Tim and I on station 95.1 FM, WIIL during the station's weekly Local Featured Artist section. The band did very well for the time it was together. FASOLA disbanded in 2000.

Now, again on my own and a handful of years removed from my first acoustic show at The Parkway Tavern in Lincoln Park, Chicago, my passion has driven me back to my first love: the acoustic show. With trademark energy and emotion, experience and an arsenal of songs fit to please the toughest of music aficionados, the Diggy Act can be found in local establishments, back yard parties, festivals, or anywhere good music is welcomed and appreciated. 2004-05 has already offered such incredible opportunities as opening for the band MIKE & JOE at Joe's on Weed street, and full performances at such hot spots as Chicago's Cubby Bear, Crystal Lake's Duke O'Breins, and all of the seemingly countless bars and clubs throughout the city of Chicago and it's neigboring suburbs. The Diggy act hit 95 venues in 2005 alone.

It's not often one can make a living doing exactly what they want to do. I thank God for that blessing, although I sometimes ask for the road to be a little easier. In the meantime I enjoy every last bit of the fight. It's a battle worth being in

I hope you enjoy some of my original music listed here. My newest cd released January 2006, entitled, "Acoustic Confessions." Check my web site for further sound clips and/or ordering info, as well as complete scheduling info.
