Digital Prophetz

Digital Prophetz is an emerging electronic music project based in the Bay Area which features live instruments and enticingly danceable beats.

Divinely-inspired musician and producer Kiran Hunter blends hypnotic layers of melody and sonic textures with formidable beats to create what he calls "Galactic Trip Hop". By weaving in live samples of a variety of instruments and the colorful global rhythms of multi-instrumentalist Cordell Dion, Kiran orchestrates a vibe that is at once evocative, funky and sexy. While the beats range from midtempo glitch hop/electro to Drum & Bass and even ambient at times, the sweet, sexy, curvaliciously dank flavor is consistent.

Kiran draws from an urban musical background in graffiti-strewn Philadelphia and projects through the lens of his experience in the visionary arts culture of the West Coast. Cordell is an accomplished percussionist from Los Angeles who studied with master drummers in the rainforests of West Africa and South America. Together they create a dynamic blend of cutting-edge electronic sounds with the organic elements of drums and live instruments.
