Diho's music is a mixture of mahoraises, african and west continent influences. His talent? Manage to make live his multiple references to create a both generous and accessible universe. It's his way to give a new life to traditional instrument (ex: dzenzé) and rythm (ex: chigoma) of Mayotte.

Author, composer and interpreter born in Mayotte in the Comoro Islands, Diho began the music in 1984 in the room Rainbow in Mayotte. Since, it is indeed the bridge of colors that Diho continue to compose with its songs, harmonies between the rhythms of its island and those from the whole world. His activity shines between the Comoro Islands, Marseille and Paris. With his group ARAKA, he wins the 1st price of a Rock challenge at Gardanne in 1994, what offers him the occasion to take out a promotional disk of 3 titles among which " Oussi changué ". This song, headlight of the success of Diho, tells the story of a man leaving its country which reassures his friend by promising to him to return. And so the story of Diho begins.

DIHO, four letters taken from his father and his grandfather, as if the identity was made only by memory. Diho is an artist with plural identity, crossing the road of the Comorian islands and Europe. He defines his music as the Afro - chigoma-pop-blues, a mixture of mahoraises, African and western influences. Of this heterogeneous melting pot was born "SAFIR". This first album, recorded in Paris in 2000, includes 9 titles accompanied by the talentual musicians such as those of Manu Dibango: the bass player Noel Ekwabi, the chorus-singer Mimi Felixine, the keyboard Fredo which also accompanies Sinclair; some of Salif Keita and Papa Wemba; the guitarist Panama, the percussionist of Angelique Kidjo, David Mirando and the drummer of the group Ultra Marine, Mokhtar Samba as well as Vincent Segal who plays now with Matthieu Chedid.

All his songs are written in chimaoré, the language of Mayotte, and the spirit of its island fills until its subjects: the love, the banishment or the slavery. His talent? Manage to make live toghether several references to create a generous and accessible universe. A music without borders, which accept some agreements, of reggae, rock, musics mahoraises (chigoma, m'godro), funk, jazz or blues.

Sailor on the unlimited horizon, Diho left Mayotte and follows a direct trajectory towards the variety. In the Comoro Islands, he meets Velou Mwarabou, one of the guarantors of the science of the dzenzé, the traditional instrument forgotten in Mayotte. Having made sure whom Diho would be deserving there representing, the old musician gives him the instrument. Since, Diho does not go anywhere without the dzenzé, through which he makes the mahorais folklore be reborn while breathing a second life into the small instrument with three ropes which he makes vibrate on his personal inspirations.
Since the beginning of his career, the artist doesn't stop sending back the ball between his island and the metropolis. He is on all the fronts. Thanks to him, the dzenzé has a reputation in Europe with a video report on France O and RFO.

His life in metropolis is a continuation of meetings with professionals, creations and success. When he plays to close a concert of Marcus Miller, this last one comes to applaud him. In Marseille, he plays beside Massilia Sound System, records two clips with France 3 and M6, plays live for emissions of RFI and France O...
Radios make him the beautiful part: France Inter congratulates him for his capacity to convey with talent and originality the musical inheritance mahorais; France Culture, RFI and France O invite him to sing live accompanied with the dzenzé; before knowing that he is the author, Manu Dibango programmed his key song " Oussi Changué " on Africa n°1,...

Diho dedicates the last years to its music and composes since 2004 the titles of his new album " MAHABA ", which wants to say the Love. Consisted in an intimist, acoustic and very colored universe, in the language chimaoré, cascade of melodic rhythms, the songs of this album talk about love, the one who arises from the opening between people and that for the earth, allowing not to forget priorities as the need of water (SOS EAU).

The projects of Diho are many, the painting of his universes is now weaved, he is called in Europe as in the Comoro Islands to purchase his work and continue to make us discover fruits of a long musical excursion.
