DIN Martin

DIN Martin was formed in Leipzig, Germany in 2010.
The four musicians, coming from different musical backgrounds, find a way through landscapes filled with post rock-, shoegaze- and electronic sounds. The band’s music comes in sonic waves. Catchy pop melodies blend in seamlessly into self-created melodic walls of sound. The songs don't need to be written. They already exist and just need to be put into words. The musicians capture this current trend and transform it into their own unique sound.

BIOGRAPHY:

Originally formed as a three piece, DIN Martin started rehearsing in early 2010. First appearances were made in and around Leipzig, following a first European tour and a self-made 4 track EP (“Elliston Road”) in 2011.
A video to the song “Before You Faint” was shot in Bristol, England together with Bristol based filmmaker in early 2012. The video stars Alison Garner of the Fauns and premiered on German TV station “ZDF Kultur” within the program “Bauerfeind” on the 5.2.2012. A first collaboration with the station was already made in December 2011 when the band played a live acoustic version of “Before You Faint” for the same program.
So far the band has played 40 concerts in 5 different countries alongside acts like The Telescopes, White Hills, Thought Forms, Immanu El, The Fauns, Kwoon, Talking To Turtles and I Heart Sharks.

CURRENTLY:

DIN Martin has just come back from a second European tour promoting their album “The Second Before You Faint”.
A number of festival shows are planned for the summer 2012 as well as a short tour together with British shoegaze band The Fauns in autumn.
Besides that the band will work on new songs and projects.
