Bio

It has been a given since birth that Lil D, AKA, Dino was born to entertain. On November 6, 1994 in Los Angeles, CA. Dennis Wheeler, Jr arrived. Now residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Dino is set to take on the world. Dennis Jr started acting at the tender age of 3. He began showing interest in music by the time he turned 7. At merely 10 years old his parents discovered he really enjoyed music and started recording him in live studio sessions. As music prodigy true to form, he began writing his own lyrics and created his own stage name, “Lil D.”

Lil D began performing in many events around Atlanta from Boys & Girls Club shows to Hosea Feed the Hungry and Radio Station events & talents shows for the top Hip-Hop and R&B stations in Atlanta: CBS Radio station, V-103, Cox Media station, 95.5 The Beat, and Clear Channel’s Hot 107.9. He has also held the stage at the Sweet Auburn Festival, Global Peace Festival, Freedom Fest 2009 and A Taste of The World (African Children’s Fund Event). At a young age, Lil D has always been keen and well spoken on current events which led him to the television show called “Teen City” which hosted a Panel of teens to discuss real life issues. In 2007, Lil D stunned and amazed a panel of judges including Jonnetta Patton, Usher’s Manager, and took home the top prize at the McDonald’s Gift Youth Inspirational Talent Search Competition. This would prove to be just the beginning of huge accomplishments so far in his young career. He was invited back the following year to open and host the Competition. Winning this event sent Lil D soaring into a whole new atmosphere of celebrity status. He has since went on to win many other talent competitions and had a full feature in Atlanta Parent Magazine. To further advance his craft, Lil D took up training at JPAT Management Studios. He was also a part of “PAC KIDS” at the Tupuc Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts. While there, he wrote and produced a song for a play that was performed by the “PAC KIDS”. Since then, Lil D has been writing and recording with some industry heavyweights like Zaytoven, Hood Beatz and has performed on several occasions for the Mayor of Atlanta. He recently worked on the set of the up and coming movie “The Lottery Ticket,” which is due to be released in “2010” with Bow Wow, and Ice Cube.

In 2009 Lil D hooked up with long time industry veterans, Anthony Truss, Jeffrey Joseph and Alex Fields and their powerhouse label, RockBox Music Group where he was signed for a short term. Wanting to be taken seriously as an artist and musician, Lil D in conjunction with the label aptly changed his name to “Dino” which is what he goes by today. “Dino is a serious artist,” says the C.E.O. of RockBox Music Group, Anthony Truss. A quote from the General Manager of the label, Alex Fields says, “He is a music prodigy like no other.” The President and C.F.O. Jeffrey Joseph chimes in, “Dino is amazing to watch.” Dino’s musical influences range from Hip-Hop icons Notorious B.I.G. to Ice Cube to T.I. Kanye West and Jay-Z.

Dino now has an arsenal of new hit records from “Diva” to “Love Letter” and the colossal hit, “Get It on the Flo.” With a new label deal and a new album on the horizon Dino has all the right elements to take over the music industry.
