Dion began in the music industry by-way-of a self-funded reality tv show segment on prime time nation television in New Zealand.
After an amazing response and out-come of this his first live performance, Dion embarked on his journey into one of the hardest industries, music. Inspiration comes from powerful, ambitious artists who push the envelope on social issues and turn the tables on stereotypes- Madonna, Pink, and most recently Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert.
Over the years, Dion has dipped his feet into various creative interests such
as script-writing (Comedy), fashion design, modeling, dance, acting, event management to name just a few.
Openly admitting he is a “work in progress”, Dion refuses to limit himself or cave in to criticism and always strives to do what ‘he’ believes in. “Be honest and true to yourself” – DionX

As 2010 progresses Dion aims to explore new genre`s created from a fusion of traditional styles setting his music apart from current artists. Being so independent and resourceful has taught Dion many invaluable lessons and given him skills and experiences that can only better him as an artist and a person.
