Lyrics

Gotta Go

Written By: Dirk Schwenk

Hey babe leavin on a holiday cuz its time for me to go
Baby I’m leavin on holiday its time for me to be alone
Gotta go, gonna roam, gotta roll, gotta go
Time for me to Go

Well I guess I started somethin, I didn’t even know
Yah I guess I started somethin, 1 more reason to go
Its just sometimes I go insane
Let’s now go through all this again
CHORUS

CHORUS – BRIDGE slower melodic
And I ain’t saying, that we’re separating
that’s nothing I would do
And I ain’t saying, that we’re suffocating,
its not even about you
I am sayin, it’s not overstating,
we’re as perfect as the dew … Chorus

Time for me to go go,
time for me to go

I've Been Thinking

Written By: Dirk Schwenk

I wouldn’t trade this for anything
Good times or bad
I wouldn’t trade this for anything
This good lovin’ we have
_______
(higher)
and I been thinking about you baby
Come on over and hold my hand
I been thinking about you baby
Together we can make a stand
We’ve come a long, long way
Far we have come for this day.

I wouldn’t say tht we’re a perfect pair
Don’t how you could be
I wouldn’t say tht we’re a perfect pair
But I know your all I need

Moon Shine

Written By: Dirk Schwenk

Well I say good night, lean down to kiss you
Out goes the light, but I still see you there

you’ll close your eyes, dreams will take u
Like the rising tide, you’ll be swept away

Let the moon shine down on you darling
Just sleep, sleep without a care
Let the moon shine down on you darling
If you need me I’ll be right here
Let the moon shine down on you.

for me its hours, get done things needin done
You sleep on, I’ll take it from here

There’s a world outside, down the road for you
You’ll see when, You’re walkin in my shoes,

Chorus -- Bridge
In the morning you will wake,
and you’ll call my name out loud
Because once the sun is up,
you know I need to head on out
Every day you do the things,
things that make your daddy proud
(pause) But for now (stay high with it)
CHORUS 2

Rocky Bottom

Written By: Dirk Schwenk

There's a $100 bill, in the box on the window sill
It's for my lady, but it sits there still
At least I know now, how I got down so low (2xs)

I've been in love before, but still I just don't know
how to draw the line, how to act when it goes
At least I know now, how I got down so low (2xs)(pause)
And honey, I want you to know now too

You dragged me down, down down, to the rocky bottom
And left me there gasping for air
How could I have been so blind that I didn't see it coming
when now its so golldurn clear
CHORUS
I called it like it was and you denied it
left me hoping that we'd be reunited
It's all clear to me now that you were lying
And there's nothing left that you can say
I won't believe you anyway

You got a hell of a nerve and you richly deserve
this angst I now publicly proclaim
I loved you once but I am happy that its over
I was so sick of your stupid GD games
CHORUS
Instrumental
Verse 2, Chorus SLOWER

You ... dragged ... me ...
down down down, to the rocky bottom (3xs)
And there's nothing else you can say,
I wont believe you anyway
I know you lied to me everyday

Your Life

Written By: Dirk Schwenk

I am lost, then I am found
In clouds over water, and dew on the ground
I have died, and been reborn
In the arms of a father, through the eyes of my son

And its not me, that seems to change (low note)
Just time moving onward, while I stay the same

I say these words
I could be wrong
I ask for answers
But I’ve gotten none
Don’t give up
Don’t give in
It’s your life, you’re living in

It seems so hard, but its so clear
Let go of the worry, and it disappears
And on this road, just one fine deed
Can carry you onward, to infinity

The River

Written By: Dirk Schwenk

I grow stronger by the river side

There's a time by the banks of the river
when the sun drops down behind the pines
when I see clear now this gift I've been given
I see clearly now this life of mine
Chorus
Take me down, to the river
Take me down, to the banks by the river side
though I am down to t last strength I been given
I grow stronger there by the river side

There's a tree down by the old muddy river
old as the earth tall as the sky
sometimes I wish for the fate he's been given
to stand there quiet by the river side
Chorus
Bridge
An if it all ends here today
Take me to the river and pick up my guitar and play
We’ll let the wind and the water wash us all away
Wash us all away
Take me down, to the river
Take me down, to the banks by the river side
though I am down to t last strength I been given
I grow stronger there by the river side
Take me down, to the river
Take me down, to the banks by the river side
though I am down to t last strength I been given
I grow stronger there by the river side
