“David Bolles specializes in what I like to call “mood” pieces, just listen to the delicate playing on ”kibble nap” and you will agree that the finger style arpeggio's can conjure up visions of a majestic forest as viewed from several hundred feet up. This is a beautiful little piece played to perfection without unwanted noise or incidentals.
On ”there is no peace” Dave dabbles with adding a heavy reverb/echo to create a soundscape that is vast. Uplifting in spirit, this short and sweet song is another strong “mood” piece that can stir the imagination.
The only compliant I have is that these pieces are short and leave me wanting more although I don’t really feel they need to be further developed, they stand well on their own and reveal a mature and thoughtful artist with visionary flair.
