• “The band describes their music as cinematic rock, and while labels like that are often code for vanity project, the Robins’ music is much too solid to be regarded like that. Rock has enough room under its tent for a lot of different styles, and that includes cinematic rock, when it's as good as the Robins’.” – Birmingham News

Bio
Our album 'The Cage' is a concept piece that revolves around a carnival sideshow, Kate Robins says, but the people in it arent freaks of nature. Theyre normal people like you and me, but whats being exploited is their defense mechanisms against pain and loneliness.
We want our music to hit people the same way any song does when they turn on the radio, where they like the beat, they like the melody, its catchy, its memorable, but at the same time, we want them to get the sense that were drawing from a deeper well, Neil Robins says. That were pulling from musical backgrounds the average band doesnt pull from. That were writing from concepts people maybe havent put into words but have felt all along. Im really excited about the way the album has turned out, because I think weve gone to a place thats musically different, yet at the same time we find the music resonating with all types of people. As an artist, theres not much that makes me happier than that.
Don't miss out on booking Dirt Poor Robins!
