Dirty Scavenger

Dirty Scavenger

 Brighton, England, GBR

Imagine Led Zeppelin hiring Alanis Morrissette to sing and you'd be getting pretty close to the sounds of Dirty Scavenger, who's songs are based on Jo's life on the streets, busking and other experiences. Jo is a seasoned performer who has often been described as 'mesmerizing to watch'.

Jo Maultby (a.k.a Dirty Scavenger) started her music career busking on the streets of Guildford at the age of 15. Her songs are based on her struggles and life experiences, which she portrays with grungy guitar melodies and powerful rock vocals. Influenced by guitar heroes such as Jimmy Page and Hendrix, and often likened to Janis Joplin and Alanis Morrissette on vocals, Jo has performed in front of audiences ranging from a handful to 10,000, and has toured both nationally and internationally.
