Dirty Steve drinks from the well of the legacies of Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry and Ray Charles, ramps it up with the energy of the Stooges and Dead Kennedys, yet in the end he's just a guy with a guitar, like Bob Dylan or Mojo Nixon.
The album, “Get Dirty”, is set for release this Summer on Electric Mojo Records. It will be available by digital download on itunes, emusic, and Amazon.com. The release will be followed by a succession of mini tours throughout the western region, and will end on the beach with a cold margarita.
He's a Cancer. He likes long walks on the beach, stimulating conversation, pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. His hobbies include diatribing about politics, religion, the perils of the economy, fallacies of the marketing industry, hot chicks and cold whiskey, collecting obituaries, sports, classic cars and hot rods, standing in line, lotto bitches, pussy points, and his distaste for myspace.
He does G rated shows and R rated shows. He can clean it up or let ‘er rip, depending on what the audience can handle. He is as likely to sing a ballad as he is to play a high octane rocker. He can be a teddy bear or a grizzly bear. He might buy you a beer. Then again, he might jab a guitar string in your eye. Don't get too close!
