Dirty Wolfs es una banda regiomontana que de las nuevas que han saliendo, acaban de sacar su EP y tuvimos la oportunidad de platicar con el cantante, Andrew Alvaradejo, aquí lo que nos contó. - MonterreyRock
Una de las bandas mas prometedoras sin duda son los Dirty Wolfs, que el pasado mes de noviembre presentaron su más nuevo EP, en Nodriza, lugar donde también grabaron estas canciones que sirven como entrada para el sonido poderoso y lleno de riffs stoners. Me quiero ahorrar comparaciones para tratar de describir “Desert City”, por que lo mas sencillo que puedo escribir es que es un disco de Rock, sin etiquetas, con letras en inglés, que los hacen sonar de una manera mas brutal. Es Stoner, es Alternativo, con voces que me recuerda a algunas agrupaciones pesadonas de BritPop. ¿Te Gusta Queens of Stone Age?, ¿Crees que los Arctic Monkeys serían igual de “rockeros” y “blueseros” sin la ayuda de Josh Homme? Yo no lo creo, sin duda le deben mucho. Si piensas igual, este EP es para ti, los Dirty Wolfs son de las propuestas mas honestas y cargadas de energía que te puedes encontrar en Monterrey. 2012 marked the beginning of Dirty Wolfs in Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon, a city located about 10 minutes from the capital of the state, Monterrey. At the time there weren't many places to play yet the intention of the band was to make music. Later that year the band enlisted in a Battle of the Bands coming out winning First place and the opportunity to record their first EP. They recorded a 4 song EP at Audio Experts in Monterrey with Jheiva who helped in the production of bands such as The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Albert Hammond Jr. in Electric Lady Studios. The following year they released the EP titled "Show Me Your Teeth" and toured the northern part of the country. In late winter of 2014 the band decided to enter the studio once again to record another 4 song EP at Nodriza Studio. After months of experimenting with their sound and recording, the 4 song EP titled "Desert City" was released in November of the same year. Having opened for recognized latin/alternative acts such as Ruido Rosa, Felipe El Hombre, Apolo, Corazon Attack, Joliette and international acts such as P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S., A Wilhelm Scream, The Decline among others, they have made their way through the local and national mexican indie scene.
Coming late 2015 they will be recording their 10 track LP with plans to be released March 2016 with a national tour planned for the release of said LP.
