In January 2016, Matthew Jordaan and Nick Muller came together after a long search for like minded musicians. Not long after, Ashish Seetharam joined on bass guitar. Matthew recruited his ex-band mate from Casket, Jay Troskie to front the band. Ashish then recruited Desmond Cook on drums shortly thereafter.
The band released their debut recording entitled 'Contagion Demo' in March 2017. In December 2017, the band decided to part ways with guitarist and founding member, Nick Muller, due to musical differences. Lance von Buddenbrock was announced as Nick's replacement thereafter.
By mid-2018, the band began recording what was intended to be their debut album. In September 2019, vocalist Jay Troskie exited the band which then led to the band going on a hiatus in 2021. The remaining members then decided to compile the completed works from the previous studio sessions and released the five-track 'Detonator' EP in October of that year.
