Disco Doom

After ten years of a very opinionated career, these aficionados of noise rock figure amongst the pioneers of the genre in Switzerland. Underground activists, members of the cult that adores distorted guitars and long, gradually constructed compositions, this Zurich-based outfit are not scared to stray from the track beaten by their legendary guides, Sonic Youth – ultimate, but scarcely revered, role models – in order to explore, notably with the aid of some old synthesisers, more ambient territories. As Swiss Ambassadors of Indie rock, the band have toured throughout Europe, making no concessions and have also appeared at the Interstates, playing support to the genial band Built to Spill in the United States.

Après plus de 10 ans d’une carrière opiniâtre, ces aficionados de rock bruitiste comptent parmi les pionniers du genre en Helvétie. Activistes underground, vouant un véritable culte aux guitares distordues et aux longs morceaux qui se construisent peu à peu, ces Zurichois n’hésitent pas à sortir des sentiers battus par les légendaires Sonic Youth – référence ultime sans révérence – pour explorer, notamment à l’aide de vieux synthés, des contrées plus ambient. Ambassadeurs suisses de l’indie rock, ce groupe sans concessions a tourné dans l’Europe entière et arpenté les Interstates, assurant la première partie des géniaux Built to Spill aux Etats-Unis.
