For the last 6 years, Joe Kowan has been entertaining and mortifying listeners around the greater Boston area. His songs put a humorous edge on psycho-spiritual themes and can make you burst with laughter or blush beet red. Born in New York, Joe has spent the last 8 years in Boston where he co-hosted the renowned Club Passim open mic. Recently he moved to the grand city of Houston, TX to seek fame and fortune. Unfortunately, to date he is neither famous, nor particularly fortunate.
Joe's songs cover topics ranging from the bitter relationship to theoretical physics, religion, personal hygiene and even parental copulation. You can't miss the unique musical style, straight forward voice and comedic sensibility that keeps audiences crying with laughter, cringing with discomfort and always riveted.
