Disconnected is a rock band from Bandung, Indonesia, which fuses elements of punk, electronic and hard rock. The band has been active since 1998.
The band was formed in Bandung, Indonesia in 1996 by guitarist/Vocalist: Arie Ardiansyah (aka. Aradaz), drummer: Decil Christianto and bassist: Yuda Sarjana. All was a 3-piece punk band, that at the time played skateboard at a local skatepark in Bandung, Indonesia., found themselves shared same music interest, jamming together and soon formed Disconnected. They took the name from a hit song of Face to Face, an american punk band but no particular reason why they took this name, it was just simply a hint to them. Guitarist Muhammad Panji (Aka. PJ) and DJ Grahadea (now Homogenic) were joining the band. Few months after, Disconnected release first single "Leuv" and first studio Album in 2001 "Inside Out".
The group, who were inspired by Blink 182, NoFx, Bad Religion and found themselves combining the element of electronic music to a rock/punk music, Then It become the original music of Disconnected itself.
Disconnected was recognized as one of Indonesian band, that made pop-punk music so popular in Indonesia. They have released numerous of singles and EPs ever since, and the most memorable single for their fans is the song called “Terkuat”, an Indonesian song that became their fans’ favorite on every performance they have. And in early 2011, they released first International single, “The Bills”, this single also brought them for their first international showcase at Music Matters Live in Singapore and they also being featured on Cold Play’s “Fix You” cover recording and video project with other musicians/bands such like Simple Plan, These Kids Wear Crown, Franko and this charity project is dedicated to the victim of Japan’s tsunami. Their new album will be released on this late 2011 and will be available on CD and Digital stores like iTunes, Amazon, etc.
