The trio that is Disputa were absolutely AMAZING!! Very solid musicians, each member was very solid on his instrument, including drummer Mario Garay doing the more rare task of singing and drumming. Playing guitar and singing as well was Omar Bruno, who also treated the fans to many amazing guitar solos. Solidifying a solid set was Brian Richards on bass, with solid bass lines and lots of enthusiasm.

Love for music, angst and hatred towards routine and boredom, coupled with a love of fun rock are the premises on which DISPUTA sees the light of day.
Mario, Omar Bruno, Mario Alberto and Brian are originally from Colombia, Peru, and Canada. Three very different countries, but these three guys share a common passion: music.
DISPUTA is a new, refreshing alternative in a world full of monotone melodies and slow tempo songs which follow a temporary fad.
DISPUTA is straight forward punk rock. Fun Punk Rock. Sung in Spanish, by the way.
Why Spanish? That is easy to answer: Mario and Omar wanted to remain truthful to their origins and at the same time offer an alternative to what is out there. And break some stereotypes in the process. Not everybody with a South American background knows how to shake the maracas, how to dance salsa or how to sing to mariachis. Some like to rock. Punk Rock.
So, enjoy the music and if needed grab a spanish-english dictionary, or simply learn the language of the conquistador. After all that is exactly what music fans in South America have been doing for the past 30 years with english rock.
