Bio

"I regard music as sound in space and time. I see music as filmic images, and I love when music is multidimensional and moves in various directions. I regard myself equally as a composer and a songwriter, which is why Sune and I have allowed the arrangements to simply flow on some of this album’s tracks”.

‘Echoes of Madeleine’ is an album tied together by my presence. I couldn’t force myself to standardise the tracks in order to give the album a specific genre profile. As people, we possess multiple aspects and layers – that’s why it makes sense to me that the songs are varied too. They all originated from my personality – the soft and the rigid, the swaying and the determined.”

If one nevertheless insists on selecting a genre for ‘Echoes of Madeleine’, the album must be characterised as a crossover work, one that encompasses such styles as alternative, pop rock, jazz, and soundtracks.
