Bio
Sheila Caldwell, a classically-trained vocalist, began singing at a very early age. Sheila began performing for audiences, both live and via the radio, by grade school and, for 5 years, was the performer/host for the Lady Anderson Gospel Cruises in Panama City, Florida.
"Singing was and always will be my first love ... I started singing before I really started talking a lot ... and there is nothing that brings me as much joy as sharing that gift and connecting with people! I especially love to perform for Seniors. I love helping them rekindle memories and bringing back something special to them!"
Sheila has performed everything from Southern/Contemporary Gospel, Broadway tunes, Standards/Big Band Hits, Country Music, Jazz to Operatic Arias. She recently performed "Divas through the Decades" for the Come-See-Me Festival in Rock Hill, SC and also performed "Memory" from the musical, "Cats" (in full costume) for the annual Broadway night. Sheila is also a 2-year finalist in the local Colgate Country Music Showdown competitions.
"I am musically very eclectic. While I have performed many types of music, my absolute favorite songs are Standards. You don't truly appreciate these ladies until you start trying to learn their songs! 'Divas through the Decades' isn't an impression of the artists ... but you will hear their influences in each song."
