DiVine of Annapolis

DiVine of Annapolis is an energetic gospel group based out of Annapolis MD. Formed in 1993 by Patricia Whye-Samuel, they are known for their well-rounded style which includes, traditional, contemporary and neo- gospel sound. DiVine has performed at such major events as the AFRAM, First Night Annapolis, Freedom Festival, the Gospel Music Awards in Augusta, GA, the Virginia State Parks Concert Series, The Black Engineers Awards, Another Level Gospel TV Show, East Coast Music Summit, Prestigious Newsome Awards, Allstate Gospel Superfest, the Prayze Factor People’s Choice Award Event in Atlanta, GA, Blessed & Talented TV Show and Live From Center Stage in Dennis Port, MA. DiVine was the recipient of the Prestigious Newsome Award for Female Gospel Group of the Year Award for 2014; The 2015 S&M Gospel Music Indie Award for Contemporary Female Group of the Year; and the 2015 Prayze Factor People’s Choice Award for Female Quartet of the year. The group currently consists of Vocalist: Patricia Whye-Samuel, Sharnae Wallace, Debra Robinson, Crystal Mackell, Karen Johnson, Gloria Dove and Viola Johnson. The Musicians are: Melvin Samuel, Harold Sims, Horace Martin, and Kenny Day. All have been saved by the Marvelous Grace of Jesus Christ. DiVine's current CD entitled “Touch and Agree” is a multi-mix of gospel tunes. Their new single “You Better Believe” released February 12, 2016 has been an inspiration to many. The groups new cd project is in process now and is scheduled for the fall of 2016.
