"Local Acts To Follow"

Excerpt from Philter Magazine:

"Divine Dissonance, as they are today, is the mixture of musicians from bands spread across Philadelphia and South Jersey. Collectively they've been together for close to three years, trying their luck with a variety of vocalists along the way. Guitarist Mark Salmon and drummer Eric McAdams are the two founding members, emerging from former metal band Behind The Nine. If you're wondering why you haven't seen their albums on shelves, it's because they only distribute through shows and venues, which is not uncommon of up-and-coming local acts. Spanning the three years, they've found it necessary to handle each EQ knob themselves, referring of course to the production of the music. Their high level of involvement and perfectionism in the music mixing leads to far-between releases, but incredible production values on each release. Currently they have a handful of self-released EPs with a range of 4 to 7 songs on each, totaling somewhere around 20 - 25 songs, but only 10 of their best songs are still being played by the band, while they continue to improve and write new material."

"Rusty Nail Review"

DIVINE DISSONANCE - COULD IT GET EVEN MORE SCREAMO METAL? YEP, THIS IS AS FAR RIGHT AS THE METAL WING CAN GO. EXTREMELY HARDCORE MUSIC THAT PORTRAYS EVERYTHING METAL IS... EMOTIONAL AND VISUAL... LIVE ACTS BY METAL BANDS DO BRING SOMETHING TO THE TABLE... ENERGY AND PASSION... THIS BAND DID THE SAME... A POWERFUL LEAD SINGER WHO PROBABLY DID NOT NEED A MICROPHONE, BELTED OUT EVIL GROANS FROM SATAN'S DEN... THESES KIDS NEED MORE ASS... ANYWAY, ONCE AGAIN IF THIS MAKES THEM HAPPY THAN WHO AM I TO DENOUNCE IT... THIS WORLD CAN BE PRETTY RELENTLESS... THIS BAND EXPRESSED THEIR FEELINGS ABOUT IT AND THAN SOME... OVERALL, I DUG THEM...

"The Saint Review"

"All of you that came out to The Saint in Asbury Park on Saturday and watched us blow the place up with Through the Grey(what hunks and good music) and Divine Dissonance(pure brutality). It was by far the funnest show I have ever played in all my years of playing shows."

~Theater in the Dark~ - Theater In The Dark

"Recap Of The Woodbine Show"

Excerpt from Out On The Town Magazine:

"The night ended on a high note with DIVINE DISSONANCE from SOUTH JERSEY (a hardcore band) and with all the force of a hurricane."

Bio

Divine Dissonance is an amalgamation of 5 contrasting individuals all with a paralleled taste for brutal, harmonious music. Always trying to surpass themselves and improve upon each of their own unique styles, these 5 metalheads coalesce forming a relentless beast harboring far more emotion than most with their fierce technical breakdowns, melodious fretboard wizardry, idiosyncratic drumwork, and an onslaught of menacing vocals. Formed in 2003 by drummer Eric McAdams and guitarist Mark Salmon under the name Behind The Nine, they quickly recruited second guitarist Chris Ashmore. Despite playing quite a number of shows and recording a lot of demos, which they generously gave to whoever desired one, they still lacked two important pieces of the metal puzzle. During the summer of 2005 long time friend Maurice Dunlap decided to give microphone abusing a shot and the abuse hasn't stopped since. Half a year later everything seemed to be running smoothly with the last member, Matt Ettien, taking on bass duties and completing the metal mayhem known as Divine Dissonance
