Divine Gentleman Gyasi

Divine Gentleman Gyasi

 Atlanta, Georgia, USA

My music can best be described as verbally relevant ethnocentric neo soul. It’s a combination of conscious positive lyrics that vibe on hot beats from national and local producers alike. I as an artist push myself daily to be the best performer I can be; incorporating dance, acting, and my personal form of stage swagger to keep my fans smiling.

Gyasi was born in 1988 Shaquil Gyasi Fields in Minneapolis Minnesota to Lisa and Yamro Fields. He was raised in “Mo Town” Detroit were his passion for music was discovered at a young age. Gyasi has gradually progressed as he struggled to improve himself as an artist and musician; mastering the disciplines of dance, vocal techniques, and instrumentation. He is an avid and competent dancer and choreographer as well as an outstanding vocalist, song writer, and arranger. Gya not only is a solo artist but is also a member of a duo called Divine Gentlemen. He continues to place himself in a position to take over the musical world. With inspiration from vocal talents like Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, Luther Vandross, Eric Benet and a host of other world renowned artists he is poised to accomplish this goal. Through vigorous and constant training Gyasi has developed a unique vocal style and is quickly becoming one of the most prolific unsigned artists of the new millennium, featuring on albums and songs by Chaka Zulu of DTP, LTMOE, and Kendro.
His debut EP entitled Dream Girl has garnered positive reviews from Universal Records Inc., Sony BMG, and Def Jam. Select titles with updates, show schedules and new music on can be heard on my reverbnation page.. Currently Gyasi is working on his yet untitled album for release to the world market in late 2011. He is slated for performances throughout southeastern region of the U.S. with special appearances in select cities in the Mid West. His current single entitled Get It is available on I-Tunes and other popular download retailers. Gya’s drive and determination for perfection in art are evident in the motto by which he lives his life “If it ain’t great it ain’t good”. So watch out world there is something new and different about to take over the game and his name is GYASI.
