Rum soaked vocals infused with femme rock and hot Funk; Daye describes her sound and style as ''Bitch Funk'' a new pop genre. Dixie Daye names eclectic Influences; ranging from Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Prince, Grace Jones and David Bowie, Beck, Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, Betty Davis, and Tina Turner.
Daye began fronting bands at high school and later cut her teeth fronting Liverpool based Funk outfit ''Taste Of Josephene. TOJ where nominated for a Urban Music award in category ''Best National Unsigned Act''.
Since signing to new USA indie label Jam Brothers Music, Dixie Daye has been recording and writing with producers in the USA and UK, Alan Nglish (Taio Cruz, Celo Green and Melonie Fiona). Grammy Award winning producer Dunlap and Scorp Dezel (Young Thug, Rick Ross). Performed at Atlanta's AC3 festival, Manchester Gay pride and performed in RENT the musical as Joanne Jefferson.
