Bio

Take four music loving guys from Tennessee, one from Alabama, and put them in a room together with their favorite Son House, Hank Williams, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Pantera cd's, the end result is what we like to call Swamp Metal. What is Swamp metal you may ask? It's straight forward hard rocking, kick you in the junk music. Southern Rock, Metal, with some Delta Blues for good measure. It's dirty, gritty, and best of all, it's real. Music you can feel. The way Rock-n-Roll was meant to be. Music by real people, for real people. Our current line up was completed in Jan. 2011. We played our first live event in March 2011 and have been going full steam ever since, playing shows all over Tennessee and Alabama. We released a 3 song EP in June 2011 titled "3 Songs for Woodrow". On ReverbNation.com, our first single titled "Legba's Hounds" was a instant hit! The song has remained in the top 10 on the local music charts for over a year, and even reached #2 twice! For a short period during the summer of 2011, all 3 of our tracks simultaneously occupied the top 3 spots on NashvilleRock.org's website. Also, we have been nominated for the 2011 "People's Choice" award at the Music City Mayhem Awards in Nashville, TN as well as getting airplay on local radio and on internet radio shows across the United States. Our EP "3 Songs for Woodrow" was up for nomination for "EP of the Year Award" on Nashvillerock.org as well. In August of 2012 we entered Charter Communications "Battle of the Bands". We won our area, which encompassed the states of Tennessee, Georgia and Louisiana. From there we competed against 10 other area winners in the finals where we finished 4th in the nation. We are currently in The House of Hajdasz studio recording our highly anticipated full length CD. So get ready Voodoo Nation, cause we have no plans of slowing down anytime soon!
