Bio

Dizzy X's high octane takeoff uses no formulas at all. Instead they offer a blend of abilities, styles and enthusiasms uniquely adapted to themselves on their debut album 'Tales From the Iron Pillow'.

The result was an engaging, restless and emotionally charged debut full of attitude, soul and sweetness... from the opening "Cameo funk" of SupaSaturation to the heartfelt pleading and blanketing beauty of Constantine's vocals on the enraptured track Show Me... Dante and Liz seemed to do what is next to impossible these days... creating their own genre, which The Hollywood Reporter called "Cinematic Soultronica".

So the adventure continues with Dizzy X's sophomore release 'Machine'. 11 textured and expansive new songs that carry the listener through an array of emotions. From the power pulse of the first song Lovebomb to the epic finale of We Are One, Dizzy X pulls all inspirations into a cohesive explosivity throughout their 44 minute supersonic journey, solely guided by the human internal beat machine... the heart!......Says co-member and singer Liz Constantine "This is a fall in love record, a fall out of love record...and then a fall BACK in love record".... "MACHINE is actually reminiscent of an old fashioned concept album...our own personal little soap opera.. or our own personal BIG soap opera!"...... With soul sweetened and tightly packed vocal harmonies meeting Depeche Mode-esque drum and synth minded song production "It's as if Prince got carnal with Electric Light Orchestra in a Silverlake bungalow!!" chimes Dante Marchi... "And so far, that's the word on the street.....said street being Hyperion Street in Los Angeles".. speaking of the East Hollywood, California thru-way upon which several hundred feet above and away in a rented duplex Dante and Liz call their home and studio..... Coincidentally that is also the title of Constantine's ambient and emotional manifesto off of their upcoming MACHINE cd...it's a lovelorn yet uplifting track called Hyperion Street. "We are a musical GPS device for all lost and wandering souls....so follow us!"

With nods to current electro-pop groups such as TV On The Radio, Hot Chip and Santogold to classic artists like Peter Gabriel, Prince, Beck and Kate Bush, Dizzy X creates an atmosphere of pure originality that cannot be denied.

They have opened for such acts as The Chemical Brothers and Massive Attack.... Three tracks from Dizzy X’s debut (Hearts Like This, Wonderful and Show Me) are heard frequently on MTV’S The Real World, The Hills and Road Rules Challenge.

Liz Constantine - The stunning voice of Ministry's 'Khyber Pass', which is featured in the Oscar winning film The Hurt Locker....a much sought after solo vocalist in numerous other blockbuster film soundtracks and television commercials as well. Her unique and otherworldly voice was showcased at the front of Multi-Platinum selling rap artist 50 CENT's video for "Just a Li’l Bit". Liz was hand picked by The Rolling Stones Sir Mick Jagger to sing alongside him during his Wandering Spirit solo tour. She can also be heard sharing vocals with Janes Addiction's Perry Farrell on the Sony release of "The Prayer Cycle".

Dante Marchi - He has performed and recorded with Slash, Avril Lavigne, Lenny Kravitz, Chaka Kahn, Andy Summers (The Police), Vanessa Carlton, Pancho Sanchez and film composer Trevor Rabin. Dante can also be heard on television and radio voicing award winning commercials for Coca Cola, Nissan, Heineken, Intel and McDonalds. He also hung out with juggies as the musical director for Comedy Central's infamous "The Man Show".
