DJ Classified

Las Vegas-based DJ/Producer Jason Gibbs, aka Classified, is a DJ and music producer known for his open format style of DJing and hip hop/electronic dance music producing style. Born in Santa Maria, California in 1991, Classified grew up in a creative family and began loving music at a young age. At age 15, he began DJing as a hobby until he reached the age of 22 when he realized it could become a career. In the beginning of 2014, after spending a couple years on active duty with the military, he had adopted the stage name Classified and begun playing shows throughout his hometown in Santa Maria, CA including Rancho Bowl, Chido Bar, Amsterdam Hookah Lounge and Rooney’s Irish Pub. He also played venues in surrounding areas including The Graduate in San Luis Obispo, DJs Saloon in Lompoc, The Ranch in San Miguel, The Club at Vandenberg Air Force Base and The 452 Operational Support Squadron at March Air Reserve Base.

In 2017, he debuted his very first production remix with Mr. Butter of Cam’ron’s ‘Hey Ma’ that reached #9 on top remix charts and received support from DJ City, Club Killers, Headliner Music Club, Hyped Edit, BeatJunkies Record Pool and This Bangs. Currently he has played at Blue Martini in Las Vegas and produces remixes with DJ Cyberkid such as Get Your Freak On by Missy Elliot, Gods Plan by Drake and Rolex by Ayo & Teo. Classified also acts as the Tech Manager for DJ Cyberkid touring with him at venues in Las Vegas such as Drais Beachclub & Nightclub, Troy Bar Downtown and Bond Bar inside the Cosmopolitan.

Classified has also become a part of radio airways where he has mixed on air for This Bangs Radio on Bakersfield’s Energy 95.3 and also interns at Las Vegas’s Hot 97.5 for Imaging/Production.  He also co-owns an event company ‘Funk With Us’ which is based out of San Luis Obispo, CA. His company features a new electronic dance music DJ every month at The Graduate where he manages finances and acts as an operations manager.

Classified holds an Associates of Science in Music Production from the Los Angeles Recording School and is currently enrolled in the Bachelors of Science in Entertainment Business program from the Los Angeles Film School.
