DJ Found Dead

Rock Trembath, aka DJ Found Dead, is a DJ and rapper from Montreal, Canada. Trembath is part of a tide of performers making names for themselves and their music via a strong online presence as well as being among the best of a suddenly burgeoning rap community exploding out of Canada.

DJ Found Dead got his start by immersing himself in poetry at young age. His appreciation of the niche facets of poetry; alliteration, anapests, tone, refrain, and of course rhyming, combined with his love of rap, have culminated in Found Dead finding a unique style that sets him apart from his contemporaries. His latest release, Merle $hhWAGErrd, is a rare mix of referential comedy, whip smart, party hardy lyrics, and big instrumentals. First impressions recall a sound not unlike fellow Canadian 90’s, rapgroup Dust Brothers, though it’s clear DJ Found Dead brings more to the table. There is intelligence in the writing that hides just beneath the surface; becoming more conspicuous after each listen.

2015 finds DJ Found Dead on the heels of his latest release and gaining fans at a rapid clip. This year he has already released 3 EP’s worth of material and does not seem to be slowing down. Every track seems to be slightly more refined than the next. Listening to his catalogue is like an audible journal of a craftsman honing the skills his trade.
