DJ iShine

When he wakes up, he breathes music and when he goes to sleep he does the exact same thing. After years of playing the administration role of being a label head to his label 1SIDE Music, DJ iShine has started a brand new momentum in 2013 and all he knows is to make great music and everlasting art.

Born in Washington DC and raised Northern Virginia, iShine has “Done Justice” ever since he was at youth. Before his conception, his mother was raised in Jamaica and has been an avid music fan since she was a child listening to Bob Marley, Maxi Priest and UB40. His father on the other hand, was a native out of New York and graduated Howard University majoring in Fine Arts; he originally had plans of being a visual artist then he shifted his focus to collecting Jazz records with his uncles during his late 20s/30s. As a child iShine was exposed to a lot of music due to his parents and he would attend elementary school and participate in jazz band and in high school he would carry on his trumpet skills to orchestra and big band.

It wasn't until high school, iShine moved to recording and producing music. After a mishap of having his high school hear him sing over a song he produced, this moment was a downer for him but he quickly turned it to a positive. He produced his first album at 18 and he would then move onto college in which he would hold many roles from booking shows, Djing, producing music, event planning and also running a record label.

Upon graduation and finishing his education, iShine now looks to the future and hopes to inspire and leave a footprint in the music world and be one of the top producers in the next 10 years. “Doing Justice iShine” is more than the name to Christopher Summers...it's a lifestyle and mission to progress, inspire and learn everyday...not just in music but in life in general.
