Bio

DJ A-Dog got his start in the small northeast town of Burlington, VT. The home base of one of the biggest action sports companies in the country, Burton Snowboards. He began playing small clubs with jazz/funk bands as a set break DJ and eventually started scratching along with the bands. He ended up having residencies in 3-4 clubs in his area for his vast diversity in music. With styles that range from down tempo, rare grooves, jazz/funk, old and new hip hop and reggae he created a scene for the Burlington heads to come check out.
After winning URB Magazine's mixtape contest in 2000, DJ A-Dog became more of a staple in Burtons promotional game. After they turned his winning mixtape into a promo mix for the tradeshow in Las Vegas, A-Dog became more common in the snowboard industries party scene. The brand ANALOG tha Burton also makes was geared towards music, so that made it possible for more promo parties around the U.S. from Salt Lake City, Utah, Southern California, Idaho, Colorado & Las Vegas. A-Dog was the DJ for all these events along with headliners like the Rods, Mix Master Mike, Common, Supernatural, R.A. the Rugged Man, DJ Green Lantern, Ganstarr, and Blackstarr to name a few. To this day he attends the SIA tradeshow in Las Vegas and the annual World Tour Party in New York City.
Besides the action sports world, A-Dog holds down a number of residencies in his home town. From his classic hip hop night at The Red Square to his bi-monthly lounge night where his selection consists of soul, reggae and hip hop. And with 2-3 major colleges in the area A-Dog usually gets called to open their shows as well. Some memorable are Jurassic 5, Blackalicious, Common, Talib Kweli, Fatlip, The Roots, Mix Master Mike, GZA.
Burlington, VT also has a premier concert venue called Higher Ground that has brought some serious artists here as well, and you better believe A-Dog has his foot WAY in that door.
