Bio

Hailing from Maryland, Tony Clarke, "DJ Amaz" has made consistent strides in his career as a leader, a multifaceted DJ and a business professional on a national level.

DJ Amaz started his career as a student in college while attending Buena Vista University where he pursued radio, with a show and experience in event planning including an annual event "Edge Fest". He also was a board operator and learned the radio business at two other radio stations KKIA and KAYL. Moving back to MD, he attended Bowie University, and used his education in IA and his current major, network security to revamp WBSU on the importance of ASCAP, BMI, Neilsen, Mediabase and SESAC's reporting.

DJ Amaz was also spinning at clubs, mostly in the midwest, and broke records such as Huey’s “Pop Lock and Drop It,” Soulja Boy’s “Turn My Swag On,” Talia Cole’s “This Lil Thing,” and Philly Swain and Freeway’s “Mind on My Moola.”He further promoted these singles through album release parties and through his DJ coalition "Hittbreak DJ's. In 2009 he was responsible for Philly Swain's record and distribution deal with Sony Records for his album "Mr. Philadelphia".

From there he went back into radio, co-founding and developing "Street Radio", with Marcus Boyd and Rhamond Dancey of Jive Records, in which he later turned over to his own brand "Zero Time Off", a radio, marketing and promotional company for the entertainment industry. From event planning to business organization, Zero Time Off does it all. "Street Radio" and "Zero Time Off" have brought DJ Amaz to SXSW twice in 2011 and 2012. Zero Time Off can be heard on the app "TuneIn".

Including Zero Time off, DJ Amaz has a few residencies including Koffees Loung and Love's Night Club, where he also managed, in Washington D.C. Moving to Las Vegas he has moved his residences and promotional work to Pulse Nightclub, Vanguard, Deja Vu and Luna Lounge. He also DJ'ed the 2013 BET Awards after Part with Cliffhanger Productions in Los Angeles, CA.

DJ Amaz lives by the following adages: “Treat people how you would like to be treated” and “Every problem has a positive solution.”
