Anubus’ roots are firmly planted in classic rock, funk, soul and hip hop and has forged his niche by artfully combining these genres with various forms of electronic dance music for an unforgettable experience. Blending together quality selections, with a turntablist’s touch, proves time and again that Anubus is the dj the dance floor has been waiting for.
With a career that spans over a decade, Anubus has gained critical acclaim from many avenues. From rocking events like AMP Energy Drink’s 20010 US Open Party with DJ Jazzy Jeff, to placing an astonishing 7th in the world in DMC's historical 2011 Online World Championships, officially becoming one of the best DJs in the world, Anubus has earned his place on stage. Sharing that very stage with greats like A-Trak, Slick Rick, Rob Swift, Digital Underground and Dj Revolution has made this Dj the refined selector that he is today.
Gaining momentum by holding down long, solid residencies in New York City, Buffalo and Burlington, VT, Anubus has had the opportunity to play some amazing events. Headlining Magic Hat Brewing Company’s “Wall To Canvas” festival as well as DJing “The Hangover” official movie premier party, in the luxurious meatpacking district in New York. Anubus has also toured event circuits with with Redbull, Burton Snowboards, Nau Clothing and GO21, to name a few.
A production career that started when DC Shoes garnished their entire X Games 2008 “Gold Standard” website with DJ Anubus original productions has led to a host of electro/ hip-hop remixes that are flying through the world wide dj community. As the DJ duo Disco Llama Anubus and, long time friend, Mike Device have made some of the best disco-house in 2011. With a fan base that spreads from Australia to Alaska, Disco Llama has been getting plays from international heavy hitters on the regular. Armed with a solid crate of original material Disco Llama has graced the stages of festivals like Vermont's famous Manifestivus as well as some of NYC most posh nightclubs.
With a matured, funky, electronic sound and a solid, soulful base, this Dj is sure to destroy every stage he sets foot on and shake every speaker that delivers his sound.
