Bio

DJ Ballistic Billy hails from Miami, Florida where he began mixing at age twelve. At the age of fifteen, he became an on air mixer at one of Miami's major market radio stations, WPOW Power 96, becoming the youngest mixer on air during that time in the south Florida area. Through the years, he gained popularity and soon became one of the most identifiable nighttime mixers in South Florida with a listening audience through primetime mix shows for 600,000 plus listeners. Because of his rising popularity, he then found himself behind the microphone as an on air personality. DJ Ballistic Billy also obtained a local sponsorship from a name brand shoe and clothing company. DJ Ballistic Billy stayed with WPOW until he was 23, however during that time he was by no means limited to the Miami area or the radio medium. In addition to playing in Puerto Rico he has covered as far south as Key West all the way to California and everywhere in between.

In the year 2003 through 2004 he was holding down a primetime radio show which he achieved number 1 ratings in one Arbitron rating book on WLHR Hot 107.9 in Panama City Beach, Florida, the Spring Break capitol of the world. The show was heard live from Club LaVela, the Largest Night Club in the USA, which has been featured on numerous television stations and shows including MTV, E! Entertainment Television, Playboy, Fear Factor, and many more.
DJ Ballistic Billy's diversity extends not only to radio and club venues. Billy was also the official tour DJ for the multi-platinum Miami based rap group The 2 Live Crew. He also performed at many large arena concerts and festivals for crowds of over 15,000 people with other famous artists such as Diddy, Wyclef Jean, Fat Joe, the late Big Pun, MTV's DJ Scribble, Insane Clown Posse, The late DJ AM, DJ Z –Trip, The Neptunes, Manny Fresh, Beanie Man, Shaggy, Coolio, Run DMC, and many more.

He has also had a hand in several production projects. The projects began with Barn Yard Click's remix of Tutti Fruitti on EMI Records and was followed with former BMG Latin artist El Presidente's remix of La Gatita on Bass Heavy Records. Another remix would include Samantha's Love 'N' Life on Ying Yang Records which was distributed by Warlock Records.
In addition Billy is also doing shows with Syrus and Jose who are past cast members on MTV'S THE REAL WORLD. Along with the multi-platinum rap group the 69 Boys, who have such hits as “Tootsie Roll”, “Kitty Kitty” and “Woof Woof” – from the Dr. Doolittle Soundtrack.

Having overcome incredible odds, Billy is the recipient of a kidney transplant and a major supporter of organ donation, and has since been named an official Donate Life ambassador, which promotes raising awareness about organ donation and has also been named an official National Kidney Foundation Florida Ambassador. This explains his drive, constant passion, and enthusiasm for his music & art. Without a doubt, Ballistic Billy is a survivor. He is a hard working, successful artist who is still going strong. We are sure that Billy will remain an integral part of the South Florida music industry for many more years to come.

In 2012 Billy celebrated his 20 year anniversary as a Celebrity DJ and was interviewed by Maria Tojerio Gonzalez who is the editor and chief of Music Miami, a major south Florida publication featured on http://www.musicmiami.org/dj-ballistic-billy-mix-master-turntable-south-florida/ Next Billy signed with Kelly Voice & Company, (www.kellyvoice.com) a South Florida-based Artist and Event Management Company that Specializes in Artist Management & Development.

2013 is off to a fantastic start as Billy was the first artist featured in the "Live and Loud Spotlight" for InTheBiz Magazine and shortly thereafter signed his first endorsement deal becoming an official artist for Stanton DJ, which is part of the Gibson family of brands. He was also added to the Slip N Slide DJ Coalition & the Future Star DJ Coalition.
In February 2013 Billy was interviewed on NBC 6 “6 In the Mix” with Roxanne Vargas where he shared his story of his life long battle with kidney disease and was asked to perform live on the show.
