DJ Bobby B

Throughout his 2 decades behind the turn tables, DJ Bobby B has soared to the heights of mainstream success and became one of the hottest DJs to scratch and mix on the turn tables.
Born in Hawthorne, CA , Bobby started having started performing at backyard parties, weddings, before landing a break DJing four nights a
week at a club in Redondo Beach, CA .Bobby was hired in the middle of the club being renovated was asked to build the entire DJ booth, sound
system and lighting rig.This club was overlooking the boats in King Harbor in Redondo Beach, CA. and was the first of many clubs in the Southbay he
became resident of.HE was responsible for bringing hiphop to the beach fighting club owners on the issue of what should be played for years. Soon they let him play what he wanted,knowing the people would come and be completely satisfied with his selection.He also worked for BET and Barry Gordy(founding owner of Motown Records) programming and mixing the beats for fashion events in Hollywood.
After his tenture in the Southbay, Bobby started Djing for a promotion

company called Artist Groove Network and through his passion for spinning and the art of DJing, Bobby B worked his way up to every top club in Southern California and become one of the regions hottest drawing acts. He was the resident DJ at clubs like Century Club, Roxbury, Truth, Orbit, Opium Den, Tattoo, Dragon Fly, Infinity and more. Over the years he was performed everywhere from Las Vegas, Hawaii,Miami to Arizona and on an international level from Japan to Amsterdam.
In the late 1980s, Bobby B along with 3 friends started a band called The Nayborhoodz, which eventually signed to the independent label React Records, who were responsible for acts like Rodney O & Joe Cooley and Insane Poetry. This is where he first started to learn scratching and laying down beats for live rappers, running a hip hop show and producing.
In 2005 DJ Bobby B reconnected with the members of The Nayborhoodz under the moniker One Session and released their debut album “DJ Bobby B Presents:The Hidden Treasures ” on Suburban Noize Records in the Early Part of 2006. Pre-Fix Magazine proclaimed, “Bobby B’s active scratch work stands out in his mix, augmenting his intro, the dark four-note swirls of “If This Were” and the atmospheric sounding stomp of “We Back,” to name a few.”
In the group setting is where Bobby B would thrive. Bobby B is currently the DJ for counter-culture icons the Kottonmouth Kings. During his unbelievable career with the Kings, Bobby has soared to the heights of success by soundscanning over 1,000,000 albums and selling over 1,000,000 concert tickets from over 1,500 live performances in their decade plus existence. The group has infiltrated the mainstream on their own terms and each of the groups albums has hit the Billboard Charts Top 200, even debuting as high as #39 on the charts.
He has been involved in many joint ventures with other groups such One Session, SubNoize Souljas, Kingspade (who debuted on the Billboard Top 200), Tsunami Brothers (including Kottonmouth Kings’s D-Loc on the turntables), Big B, Dirtball, KMKs frontman and owner/founder of Suburban Noize Records Brad Daddy X and produced both of Pakelika’s(Kottonmouths visual assassin) solo albums.
During his storied career, Bobby B has been to around the world, including 10 tours of Japan , and shared stages and toured with mainstream heavyweights like Green Day, Kid Rock, Stone Temple Pilots,Jefferson Starship,Slipknot,Bonethugs,X-clan Marylin Manson, Velvet Revolver, limpbizkit, linkin park, Offspring,and more. He has toured with Sen Dog from Cypress Hill as his DJ and contributed for other high profile artists, such as Motley Crue drummer Tommy
Lees solo album.
He has also contributed to national television commercials for Time Warner,Honda, AT&T, and the theme music for the Vargus-DeLahoya HBO pay per view event.
DJ Bobby B has released 9 studio albums with Kottonmouth Kings,2 live albums and 4 solo CDs out on Suburban Noize Records. His technical expertise with the digital realm of recording and beat making has made Bobby B a beat junky who brings his recording rig on every tour and lives for the next dope beat which he produces.
