Boomtown is the Bass music project of Laughlin Meagher (AKA DJ Desunos). Through his work as a live musician & community organizer, electronic music has become a natural evolution for this dynamic performer. With 20 years on stage & 8 behind the decks, Boomtown knows how to rock an audience and is well known for his impecable taste in music, his harmonica solos, skill on the melodica, live MCing, vocals, guitar, percussion and Live FX. Boomtown spent 2013 Touring North America with Kytami performing live DJ sets at over 14 festivals, 7 US States, 5 Provinces and countless clubs and venues. Crossing many genres, Laughlin has shared the stage with local and international acts including Walk off the Earth, Adham Shaikh, Kaminanada, David Starfire, Chris Hatfield, Timothy Wisdom, Gaudi, Liquid Stranger, Delhi to Dublin, Shane Philips, LTJ Bookum, DJ SS, Kytami, Trevor Moontribe, Andrew Interchill, Emancipator, JFB, DJ Nils and many more.
Boomtown's debut performance was from his self propelled dj booth on the back of his bike while Gooseballin at a Random location somewhere outside of Victoria BC.
