DJ Bossa Nova

DJ Bossa Nova, aka Alexander Schroeder, is one of the hardest working DJ on the west coast. DJ Bossa Nova is a Los Angeles resident, who grew up on the streets of New York. Moving to Arizona at a young age, he grew up listening to a lot of R&B, Hip Hop and Rock on those hot nights in his father’s tiny little office. He was introduced to house music at the ripe age of 17 and from then on, he knew what he was born to play. Constantly with one ear connected to his headphones, DJ Bossa Nova is always on his tables learning to become a better performer. He enjoys producing mash-up remixes of songs and choreographing scratch routines with the help of his favorite teacher and mentor, scratch champion, DJ Swift. DJ Bossa Nova has brings culture to his style (as you might gather from his DJ name) and a funky twist to smooth lounge sounds and electro/house beats. He spins everything from electro, house, hip hop, rock, funk to America's favorite top 40 hits. He gives ample credit to the amazing DJs that he looks up to and have inspired him and his journey like, Swedish House Mafia (Steve, Axwell and Sebastian), Afrojack, Chuckie, Steve Angello, Eric Morillo and many more. He finds great passion in meeting new DJs and building a good community around him. After years of slinging records and playing high school dances, weddings, bar mitzvahs and even the occasional holiday soiree, DJ Bossa Nova has created a following of fans for himself. He's played at a number of clubs all over LA and will be starting a short run tour starting in NY at the end of summer. He has a growing fan base all over the country, including San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas and Arizona.
