Davon Q. Williams was born in New York City, New York on November 1st, 1989. He lived throughout the state of New York until his family moved to Colorado when he was nine years old, where they lived in several locations in and around the Denver Metro Area during the rest of his childhood and young adulthood.

From early childhood, Williams exhibited the hallmarks of a budding entrepreneur- whether it was vision, self-motivation or leadership drive- and as an adult, used them to launch a successful music career in a remarkably short period of time. As such, it makes perfect sense that his defining characteristic as a live musician is crowd interaction- ever the brand ambassador, he always makes it a point to connect with as many of the people present during his live sets as possible.

While hip-hop and R&B artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West and Shakeone would write most of the soundtrack of his teenage years, the only music credentials he acquired himself during this period would be three years that he spent singing with his high school choir.

Later on, when he became a promoter for Denver's own Beta Nightclub in 2009, he grew a fondness for dance music that carried over into his productions. While his library filled with artists like Diplo, FEI FEI, Vaski and Tiesto, the hip-hop spirit never left his craft; unlike the bright, video-gamey melodies so quintessential to house, trance and electro tracks, Williams' original productions tend to favor bass lines and drum patterns, with loose, ambient sound effects accentuating the rhythm.

As Williams' work as a promoter inevitably dovetailed into starting his own production company, D and A Entertainment, he began hosting and organizing events in the Denver area. During one installment of Tequila Thursdays at Mynt Mojito Lounge (one of his company's event series), a DJ he'd booked for the party didn't show up. Not to let it ruin his event, Williams jumped on the decks and figured out how to spin as he went along. While the turn of events caused him to fall in love with DJing, it would also prove indicative of his style- to this day, Williams has not planned a DJ set, relying instead on gauging the crowd to determine what track he's going to put on next at any given time.

In addition to gigging nationally, Williams is currently working on a music mix series called In The Mixxx as well as a Denver-specific Spring and Summer series of music events. You can hear his sounds at or
