Deeziak..

Johannesburg, South Africa, is a town that is marked heavily by the first gold rush in Africa... More to the point though, it's also the hometown of DEEZIAK (aka Deon Knoesen), who has been making a big bang in the Drum & Bass and Dubstep community, soon becoming a major player in the renaissance of these genres. At the tender young age of 16 he was first introduced to the wicked underground of flowing bass lines and hammering breaks.

For Deeziak, it was a done deal. It was in his blood from this moment on. He soon became one of the night watchmen, a guardian of the underground scene, a protector of the holy breaks and twists of Drum & Bass. As early as 2006, he was stealing lifts across town and running the rooftops to make it to every Drum & Bass party that was within his reach. His power fueled by headz on the dance floors growing stronger and stronger from one gig to the next. It was the arrival of Damian Higgins, more commonly known as Dieselboy which eventually pushed the Deeziak into life...

As a loyal follower of the Lords of the Joburg Drum & Bass scene; Science Frikshun, Deeziak soon realized there was something more to be had than the exhilaration of freight-train bass and knock out breaks. So it was in 2009 when Deeziak began to take the art of mixing more seriously...

Influenced and guided by RudeOne, Jozi's king of Drum & Bass as well as other international artists such as Donny,TKO & Miss Wendy, Deeziak was soon invited to join the elite Science Frikshun Movement in their surge for underground power.

Rising from the ashes of obscurity, Deeziak hammered his way into the 2010 gig lists of the most happening and downright dirty parties, his mixing prowess grasping crowds and shaking them senseless. Sharing stages with some of the greatest International Drum & Bass acts including DJ Fresh (UK), Camo & Krooked (Austria), Sigma (UK), Nymfo (Netherlands), Murdock (Belgium), Counterstrike, Niskerone, SFR and RudeOne.

His devastatingly quick rise to fame in the local scene has also seen him perform on the biggest stages in South Africa including RAMfest and Newtown Takeover to name but a few.

Deeziak continues to destroy dancefloors with his luscious breakbeats, delightfully delicious bass lines and wicked mad rhythms.
