Bio
DJ DJones attended Kennedy King College & Lewis University for radio and television broadcasting. After securing an internship with a local radio station, he became intrigued with the music business. Through his relationship with idjpool.com (formerly Illinois record pool) owner David Casto, he was introduced to Maurice White of MCA records. This introduction would lead to another internship and ultimately 7 years of working full time in a marketing and promotional capacity for a major and multiple Indy labels in the Chicago area. During that time he also founded DJones Productions, a company that provided complete event coordinating and artist booking for clients.
In 2004 he left the music scene to pursue a career in a
Different field. However his love for music never died as he continued to build his music library and stay connected to
friends and happenings in the industry. Feeling unfulfilled
with his 9 to 5 job, in 2009 he decided to return to music and
pursue his true passion of sharing music with people.
