Bio

DJ Fibz first got into dance music as it began to evolve into the rave and acid house scene, but his love of music came from an early age. Coming from a musical background, he had drum lessons and went to festivals his parents where he soon began to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the shared love of music. As the years passed, the traditional rock-orientated Glastonbury started to include more dance tents and rave music, and as he listened, he realised this is what he wanted to get into.
However, it was on a visit to his sister in London, then a receptionist at KISS FM, that he had his first experience of clubbing, a tour of studios and managed to get hold of some live from the dance floor mix tapes. This sparked his desire to be DJ and was the start of the vinyl collection. He often says the money and time spent in smokey record shops in Soho was all worth it to get to where he is now.

DJing at parties and honing his skills from 15 onwards, Fibz soon got got his first club booking at the South Coast's Mud Club (then Empire) in 1998 from Eddy C (now of the Wideboys) and has appeared there regularly for the last 10 years - still attracting a large following whenever he is on the bill. Fibz has also been seen at various London Clubs, promoted his own nights, provided the soundtrack for fashion shows and been involved in outdoor raves and festivals across the South Coast.

From joining a local studio and learning the basics, Fibz then built his own home studio and soon branched out into running his own recording studio and rehearsal space in his hometown, mentoring, guiding and producing local artists. He also set up and ran the Dance tent at the popular Rox Music Festival, showcasing a host of local talent and bringing the house down with a massive set of his own before DJing again at the free afterparty. Unfortunately, due to council limitations, the studio had to close in 2009. We see this as a blessing in diguise as he has now re-discovered the joys of the home studio and had more time to concentrate on creating his music - which we would like to share with you.

2010 is promising to be a big one for DJ Fibz, with a slot at Glastonbury and with his new demo coming out - this is definitely the time to get involved !
