DJ Fillup Banks (FUB)

Rodney C. Valentine is one of the premier up and coming DJ’s on the East Coast. Spinning under the name ‘DJ Fillup Banks’, Valentine consistently delivers not only the newest music in all genres, but a total crowd-pleasing experience. Not limited to simply playing music, DJ Fillup Banks also hosts and promotes events using the latest social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter, where he has the ability to reach of over 10,000 audience members to create a total party experience.

As a Howard University alumni hailing from Brooklyn, New York, DJ Banks began nurturing his skills at a young age after being inspired by his older brother who bought him his first set of turntables. Drawing from his Trinidadian roots, Banks began experimenting with Dancehall and Reggae music to create sonically pleasing mixes before branching out to other genres of music and infusing them all with his signature style. After eleven years, DJ Banks has begun dominating the East Coast with his eclectic style and sound selection. Relying on Top 40's, Hip-hop, Classic Rock, Old school, 80's, Dancehall, R&B, House and Dance music. With a wide range of musical knowlegde he is known to be a AP-DJ(All Purpose Disc Jockey). Banks keeps partygoers and nightlife seekers coming back for more.

He consistently performs in front of sold out crowds in some of Washington DC’s hottest nightclubs such as Stadium, Fur, Layla Lounge, Republic Gardens, Platinum, Avenue, The Donovan House Hotel, Mio, and much more. On any given night DJ Banks creates an experience for an average of 1000 plus people at these different venues.

As the official tour DJ for the Michael Walton Foundation ‘Speak Out to Reach Out’ Tour, Banks performed throughout the entire DC, Maryland and Virginia region while promoting goal achievement, community mentoring and non-violence among today’s youth and young adults. DJ Fillup Banks has performed in front of notable recording artists such as The Dream, Fabolous, Wale, Trey Songs and Ryan Leslie and recently had the chance to spin on CNN during the 2008 Presidential Election. Banks itinerary is not only limited to East Coast events as he regularly travels to California and Las Vegas to showcase his skills and abilities. In a short period of time, DJ Fillup Banks has built a fan base, young and old, urban and professional, and is continuously in demand.
