DJ HEKTEK

Bronx, NY DJ/Producer Hektek was influenced by
some of the pioneers like Red Alert, Jazzy Jay and Chuck Chillout
spinning records at park jams in The Bronx neighborhoods as a youth
which sparked an interest in the DJ element of Hip Hop. Hektek started
playing music at local parties in the New York City area early to the
mid 1990's crediting DJ's Kid Capri, Tony Touch, S&S, Doo Wop, Ron
G., Triple C and Double R, GBO The Pro for their inspiration.


Hektek’s first radio appearance was on WJHH Pirate Radio in Miami, FL.
He has made guest appearances on a variety of FM, Internet, Satellite
radio stations, during the early 2000's he launched "Blunt Squad Radio
Show" which simulcasted on several popular internet radio stations.


2004-2005 He produced music for Afrika Bambaataa's "Dark Matter Moving
At The Speed Of Light" album released on Tommy Boy Records as well as
Bronxmob's "The Bronxmob Album" which was released independently. In
2007 Hektek and The Bronxmob were given an opportunity to have their
album distributed in Japan through (Smileheart/Soundmen on Wax). The
group were brought out to Tokyo performing in nightclubs and concert
halls which included opening the show for Lloyd Banks of G-Unit.
Additionally Hektek has recorded in the studio with several
international music artists, bands in Europe and The UK showcasing his
writing and vocal ability on songs.

Hektek has also been
featured in American Movies and TV Show programs "Fighting", "Recalled",
"Royal Pains" and "Pan Am" having the privilege to work alongside
A-List actors Terrence Howard, Channing Tatum, Christina Ricci, Malik
Yoba and Henry Winkler.

Touring in 145 cities, 27 countries
including Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, U.K, Canada, Japan,
Russia, China and the U.A.E. He has performed at events that also
featuredartists like Mos Def, Keith Murray, Benny Benasi, Cypress Hill,
Tyga and Paris Hilton. This has given Hektek the opportunity to gain
international exposure showcasing his turntable skills and ability to
hype up any large crowd.

Over the years Hektek has built an
extensive library of mixes releasing over 50 mixtapes online which
further built his following. Currently, when not touring Hektek can be
found deejaying at some of New York City’s hot-spots and appearing on
NYC Cable TV Show “Blunt Squad TV”. His goal is to bring his talent,
extensive knowledge of music and authenticity to any venue providing
audiences with an epic party experience.
